The Swags The Swags are a 5-piece alternative rock band hailing from Victoria, B.C and consisting of Cayman Burke [bass], Evan Hillier [drums], Pearse Wolfe Liblong [trumpet, keys], Liam McLaren [guitar, vocals] and Sandy Hughes [guitar, vocals]. Since forming a year ago, the band has been playing shows around the community including their high-school, Stelly’s Secondary, and other local venues. They will soon be recording an EP which will be released in the winter of 2011 for a charge of absolutely nothing; The Swags aim for original sound and encourage the sharing of their music for free. Pearse, being the newest member [joined June 2011], is bringing another dimension of sound to the band by bowing guitars, mastering the trumpet and hammering on the keys. Their high-energy sound influenced by Radiohead and We Are the City will leave your ears ringing and craving more.
