AIMS & OBJECTIVES
The
Metchosin Farmers' Institute strives to be a part of the local community and a "good
neighbour". We try to encourage community involvement and participation in our
various events, and actively encourage people (especially children) to learn more about
agriculture and livestock, baking and preserving of food, sewing and needlework, as well
as leisure arts. We encourage youth in the community and sponsor 4-H clubs, baseball and
horse clubs.
All work on the Luxton Fair Grounds is done by VOLUNTEERS, and all monies raised
through our various fund-raising events go back into the grounds and the local community,
and towards development of youth and agriculture.
